A little more than two years ago I gave an impromptu talk on yoga at a dinner party in London. In-between sips of wine I explained some of the long-term health benefits and positive changes yoga offers. After the talk new enthusiasts round the table urged me to start this blog. Yoga is far more than just being able to tie yourself in a knot or stand on your head. It is a way of life. Health insurance. The first archeological excavations date from 3000 B.C. and refer to body and mind awareness. Over the centuries, yoga has evolved to the point doctors nowadays prescribe it as a medicine. Whatever your profession, sex, age or level of fitness, yoga can improve mental and physical health considerably. In this blog I introduce yoga to complete beginners and explain some of the unfamiliar concepts and peculiarities to more advanced practitioners. Welcome!
